Dr. Colburn is a California native who spent over two decades living and working across the country before returning to her roots. She earned her biology degree from Hastings College in Nebraska, attended veterinary school on the island of Grenada at St. George’s University, and completed her clinical year at the University of Pennsylvania, graduating magna cum laude in 2007. After a year-long internship in Long Island and several years in general practice and emergency medicine on the East Coast, she returned to Grenada as a visiting professor before ultimately settling back in California to be closer to family.
Dr. Colburn is an advocate for her patients and strives to work within each client’s means to achieve the best possible healthcare outcomes. With a talented team and a well-equipped facility, she’s proud to provide excellent care to the four-legged friends of the high desert. She’s currently working to grow the practice by adding another veterinarian and more staff to help reduce wait times for appointments. She also hopes to develop a physical rehabilitation center to better serve the needs of pets in the local community.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Colburn enjoys word games, climbing, and exploring the outdoors. Her beloved Schnoodle, Romeo, was her constant companion until his recent passing, and he remains deeply missed.

Alliy first came to Companion Animal Clinic in 2020 as a client and quickly knew it was where she wanted to be. Inspired by her experience, she joined the team with hopes of becoming a veterinary assistant one day. Just seven months later, she became our Reception Supervisor—and has continued to go above and beyond that role ever since, always stepping in to help wherever she’s needed.
Alliy loves supporting both pets and their people, and never misses a chance to sneak in a cuddle sesh with our patients!
At home, she shares her life with her husband Cody, her golden retrievers, Flynn and Teddy, her beloved cat Apollo, and her other cherished "cow cat" Titan, whose memory continues to live on in her heart.
Ceillo joined our team at just 17 years old, starting as a kennel technician before working her way up to become a Registered Veterinary Technician. Early on, she realized the meaningful impact veterinary technicians have on their patients—and knew she wanted to be part of that. Ceillo enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine and brings care and dedication to every patient she sees. At home, she shares her life with two dogs, Peanut and Ruger, and a few beloved tortoises.

Kait began her animal care journey as a groomer, where she developed a passion for client education. She has a strong interest in pharmacology and hopes to become a veterinary pharmacy technician. Since relocating in July 2024 after spending a year at CAC, Kait has continued working with us remotely. Her “heart animal” is Ashton, a very adored senior cat (who you may hear on her phone calls occasionally!)
Sia joined Companion Animal Clinic in 2024, fulfilling her life-long dream of working with animals. As a high desert native, she was excited for the chance to support her local community and their pets. With a background in event services, reception, and hospitality, Sia has discovered a deeper passion in veterinary care than anywhere else, and hopes to stay in the field long-term. Her world revolves around her senior tuxedo cat, Rai, and her German Shepherd/Lab mix, Seamus.
